Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
Cepter EFX is an After Effects panel, and this site is its home page. Both are built to need as little of your data as possible.
The Cepter EFX panel
- No account. There is no sign-up, sign-in, or user ID of any kind.
- No uploads. Transcription, voice isolation, beat detection and dead-frame analysis all run locally on your own computer. Your footage and audio are never sent anywhere.
- No analytics or telemetry. The panel does not track usage, crashes, or behaviour, and does not phone home.
- Network access is something you start, not something that happens automatically. The only times the panel goes online are the engine and AI model downloads you trigger yourself from its setup screen (for example, downloading a Whisper or Demucs model).
- Update checks are local. Each build carries its own release date and compares it to your system clock to decide whether to show an update reminder. This never contacts a server.
This website
- This is a static site with no analytics, no cookies, no tracking scripts, and no forms that collect personal information.
- The Changelog section fetches a public
CHANGELOG.md file from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) so the page can show the latest release notes. That request carries no personal data and is not linked to you individually.
- Your browser theme preference (light/dark) is stored locally in your browser (
localStorage) and never leaves your device.
Third-party links
This site links out to Discord, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Linktree, and Cepter EFX bundles third-party open-source components (listed in the Credits section on the home page). Each of those services and projects has its own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
Children's privacy
Cepter EFX and this site are not directed at children and do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
